August was a big one. PvP got a full overhaul, three new games landed, and a bunch of quality-of-life stuff shipped across profiles and clubs. Here's everything that changed.

✨ Highlights
Dynamic Duo — Pair up with your best friend on Chillverse. Play a game together every day to build your bond, climbing a colour ladder from grey all the way up to purple. Miss a day and the streak resets, so keep showing up for each other.
Three new games — The Last Samurai (a fast find-the-emoji shell game), Chill Link (a tile-matching puzzle), and Plunder (a press-your-luck treasure dive where every safe dig raises the stakes — dig too greedy and lose it all). Find the #1 Plunder score and you'll be wearing a pirate hat on your profile to prove it.
PvP got a total shake-up: - 3-card combos — land Common/Rare/Epic/Mythic cards together in one attack for a WILD, CHAOS, or BRUTAL bonus. - Kill streaks — First Blood, Double Kill, all the way up to Rampage, tracked daily.
- Revenge Shots — get attacked, and you earn one free counter-hit on that player.
- Club PvP board — clubs are now ranked by their top fighters' damage, with a "PvP Champ" badge for the winning club.
- Bounties — occasionally there will be an automatic price on someone's head, announced with a full wanted-poster popup.
- Elimination Weekend — a brutal Friday-to-Monday mode. This month it opened with a surprise mass revival ("the real battle begins"), paid rewards based on kills rather than just surviving, and added a spectator mode so anyone not fighting can cheer their friends on from the sidelines.
Battle cards became consumables, and every card now has its own Mastery & Codex — lore, tips on how to use it well, and rank-up XP as you actually get good with it. Four new cards joined the roster: Fire Torrent, Curse I, Halo Fortune, and Obsidian.
Fortune Vault — a new luck-based prize board in the Game Zone, with prizes and pricing set by the team.
Medusa Curse and three new utility cards — Redemption, Jailbreak, and Second Chance — for turning a bad PvP fight back around.
Kill Board — a permanent, all-time elimination leaderboard. Whoever sits at #1 wears a skull badge and gets a star-and-ice sparkle trail around their profile picture.
Club invites, DM requests, and Vibes — invite people to your club straight from their profile, a stranger's first DM to you now needs your OK before they can send another, and you can now set a short expiring "Vibe" that shows up in a speech bubble next to your avatar.
Dynamic Profile (Holo) — a frosted-glass profile skin, free for every account. Turn it on in Settings › Version.

🔧 General
- Clubs got a full settings overhaul — custom banners, access modes (public / invite-only / apply-to-join), member lists, welcome messages, onboarding questions, and per-channel controls. Bigger clubs also unlock categories and private channels.
- Leaderboards now include staff accounts.
- Feed posts can include polls.
- New popup system for announcements and referral promos.
- Your clubs can now show up on your profile — with separate switches for you and for the club leader to control it.
- Visiting someone's profile without following them now still shows their bio, badges, and achievements — just not their full stats.
- Three new profile skins: Aqua, Celestial, and Pirate.
- Item colour variants — customise the look of banners and profile pics you already own.
- Wishlist gifting now blocks items that can't actually be gifted, instead of letting you try and fail.
- Added a country field to profiles for players who signed up with Google.
🐛 Fixed
- A long-standing bug that occasionally double-awarded XP, including during XP Boosters.
- Admin controls for feature toggles and site status, which had quietly stopped saving.
- Profile card effects that had gone missing from the shop.
- An exploit where Shields could be broken by a zero-damage attack.
- A gifting bug that could permanently block someone from receiving future gifts.
- Several notification types that were showing a generic bell icon instead of their proper icon.
- Elimination Weekend issues: players earning rewards just for sitting idle, players stuck at 0 HP unable to act, and a confusing leftover screen after a round ended.
- A club settings bug that could cause certain changes to fail without warning.

That's August. See you next month.
