What are sessions and why do I run out?

How the daily session limit works, how to check it, and what happens when it runs out.

You are mid game, feeling like a champion, and then Chillverse says you are out of sessions. Here is what that means and how to deal with it.

What is a session?

Sessions are how Chillverse paces game play. Every time you play a game, it uses up sessions, and some of the bigger, harder games cost more than others. The idea is to keep things fun and fair for everyone.

How many do I get?

Your limit depends on your plan:

  • Free: 15 sessions a day
  • Orbit: 19 sessions a day
  • Void: 25 sessions a day

Once you use them all, you hit a cooldown before they refill. That cooldown is 4.5 hours on Free and 3.5 hours on Orbit and Void.

How to check your usage

Tap You in the bottom bar, then open Usage. You will see something like "7/15 sessions used" and a bar that fills as you play. When you hit the limit, the page tells you the time your sessions come back.

{{callout:blue:Info}} The Usage page shows a percentage, which stays the same whichever plan you are on, so it is easy to read at a glance.

What happens when I run out?

You cannot start new games until the cooldown ends. Everything else still works, so you can chat, check the feed, shop in the Mall and work on your missions in the meantime.

{{callout:green:Lightbulb}} Save your sessions for the games you love. Warm up on something light, then spend your big sessions where the XP is.

Can I get more?

Paid plans raise the daily limit and shorten the cooldown. They are optional, and Chillverse is fully playable on Free.

Quick FAQ

Do sessions affect my rank or XP?

No. They only limit how much you can play per day. XP still comes from what you do inside the games.

Why did my sessions refill at a weird time?

The cooldown starts when you use your last session, not at midnight. So the refill time is different for everyone.
