Starting a Direct Message
You can start a private conversation (DM) with any other player from their profile, you don't need to already be friends or have chatted before. There are two ways to get there.
Option 1: From a profile you're already viewing

If you can see someone's avatar or username anywhere in the app — in a club, in a chat, in a comment — tap it to open their profile.
- Tap the player's avatar or username.
- On their profile, tap Message.
- You'll be taken straight into your chat with them.
Option 2: Search for them
If you don't have a shared club or chat yet, you can look them up directly.

- Tap the search icon in the top bar.
- Make sure the Players tab is selected.
- Type their username.
- Tap their result to open their profile.
- Tap Message.
What happens next
If this is the first time you've messaged this player, a new conversation is created automatically the moment you tap Message, there's no separate "confirm" step. If you've already got a DM with them, you'll be dropped right back into that same thread instead of a new one.
If you don't see a Message option
A few things can prevent starting or continuing a DM:
- You've blocked them, or they've blocked you. Blocked accounts can't message each other. Check Settings → Social → Blocked accounts to see who you've blocked and unblock them if needed.
- Their profile hasn't loaded yet. Give it a second the Message button only appears once the profile finishes loading.
##That's it!
