You can start a voice call with someone directly from your DM conversation with them, using the call button in the conversation header. Calls are one-on-one only — there's currently no way to call more than one person or an entire group at once, and you can't start a call from Global Chat.
The call button is disabled while you're already on a call, so you won't accidentally try to start a second one at the same time.
